ShowroomFX started because we were tired of watching good cars come out of "detailing" with more swirls than they went in with. So we built the opposite.
The workshop

Detailing is a trade where the difference between good and terrible is invisible in a dim garage and obvious the second the car hits sunlight. Almost everything about how we operate comes back to that — including the decision to bring the work to you instead of making you drop the car somewhere for a week.
We arrive with everything the job needs — machines, pads, compounds, chemicals and our own lighting — and set up around the car. All you need to provide is somewhere to park with enough room to open the doors, a tap and a powerpoint. Nothing gets left behind.
We're not the cheapest option in Melbourne and we're not trying to be. What we are is honest about what a car needs. If your paint is in good condition and a wash and sealant is genuinely all it wants, we'll tell you that instead of selling you a correction package.
Four things we don't move on
The quote is the price
We quote after seeing the car, and that number is what you pay. No discovering extra hours halfway through and calling you about it.
Least aggressive method
Clear coat is finite. We test sections to find the gentlest combination that clears the defects, and we stop there.
You see everything
Progress photos through the job and a walk-around under lights at handover. Including anything we couldn't fix, and why.
No upselling
If a coating won't meaningfully help your car, we'll say so. Repeat customers are worth more than one oversold job.
